Rogers review of 2023

A full programme of rides, with a newly designed ride leaflet (thanks Suzanne), a few new lunch venues on Sundays & a new Tea stop for a Midweek, but not much with new routes this year. Bai having to fill in as leader on 2 separate occasions (1 with a somewhat messy Mudfest, I will try to offer an alternative route, if we have that sort of deluge, the day before a ride in future), the year finished with a ‘special Tea stop’ with the Mayor of Kingston, for our esteemed Bread pudding maker, who has sadly for us decided to take a break from Cycling, so no more BP ! We do still hope John will join us on a ride or 2 in the future.

Mayors consort Jon, John D & Mayor, Diane White.

We also had a collection for John, to thank him for all the BP’s & his fantastic company over the past 24 Years, presented at the new Christmas venue, the Limping Fox, Thames Ditton.

We also set a new record for 1 Evening ride with 24 attendees, also an overall record for evening rides, with a total of 77 Riders over the 6 rides.

We did also start a new feature, with ‘Fun Family friendly rides, after a suggestion from Suzanne (a new committee member), approximately quarterly, that have been very popular so far, using different parts of the Borough as starting point’s.
