A mostly Bright sunny day, after 1 late cancellation, with 1 late booking, 17 Cyclists, split into 2 groups, via Surbiton, Long Ditton, Hinchley wood, Esher- group 1 joined by 1 more (18)-, Fairmile,- with the tail end of group 1 missing a turn, but re-routing to join the group a bit further-, Cobham, Hatchford, Ockham, Wisley Lane, to Pyrford Lock for lunch at the always lovely Anchor (Hall & Woodhouse), back tracking a little, to ‘Muddy lane’, Byfleet, Brooklands Park, Weybridge, to Whiteley village for refreshments at the Community Cafe, (Photo), now just 1 group, Hersham, Esher, Weston Green, Giggshill Green, Portsmouth Rd, to finish back in Kingston. Midweek ride to Pyrford Lock

Wednesday 15th April, a mostly overcast day, with light drizzle for the Morning, occasional glimpses of Sun later, after 2 late cancellations, 15 Cyclists left via Portsmouth Rd, Surbiton, Long Ditton- joined by 1 more (16)-, Hinchley wood, Esher, Fairmile, Cobham, Hatchford, Ockham, the ‘new Wisley lane Cyclepath’, only to find a temporary detour for the Road has swallowed part of the path 😒, Wisley, to Pyrford Lock for lunch at the Anchor (Hall & Woodhouse), return to Wisley, Byfleet village, Brookllands Park, Weybridge, to the delightfully quaint, Whiteley village for refreshments at the new Community Cafe, also pausing near the Lake (Photo), Hersham, Walton, Esher, Weston Green, Giggshill Green, Portsmouth Rd to finish back in Kingston. A Bright but Chilly day, with some light drizzle as we finished, after 1 cancellation, 1 un-cancellatiion, 1 no show, 19 Cyclists split into 2 groups, via Portsmouth Rd, Thames Ditton- 1 more for group 1 (20)-, East Molesey, West Molesey, Walton, Weybridge, Brooklands Park, Byfleet village, Wisley to Pyrford Lock for lunch at the Anchor (Hall & Woodhouse), a bit more Wisley, Wisley Bridge, Ockham, Hatchford, Cobham, (Photo Group 2), Fairmile, to Claremont Lakes for Tea & refreshments, Esher, Littleworth Common (Photo group 1), Hinchley wood, Long Ditton, Surbiton, to finish back in Kingston. Total 29 Miles, 2 new faces, special thanks to Celia for leading group 2, thanks to Steve F & Andrea C for back marking each group.

A mostly Sunny day saw 22 Cyclists (and no Phantoms !) split into 2 groups, leave via Portsmouth Rd, Giggshill green, Weston Green, Esher, Walton on Thames, Weybridge -with 1 more joining group 2-, Brooklands Park, Byfleet & ‘Muddy lane’ (I’m pleased to say it’s not), Wisley to Pyrford Lock- group 1 took the opportunity for a Photo-, for lunch at ‘the Anchor’ (Hall & Woodhouse), then about to depart, -a small delay whilst a broken cable was attended to-, groups briefly as one, Pyrford, Walsham Gates, Ripley Green, Ockham Mill, Ockham, (with a handily closed Road), Hatchford, Cobham, Fairmile, to Claremont Gardens for Tea & Bread pudding, Esher, Hinchley wood, Long Ditton, Surbiton to finish back in Kingston. A bright Sunny day, with the ‘usual Leader’ having a day off, welcome a new Leader, Jon, with 21 Cyclists, leave via Eden St., Surbiton, Long Ditton, Giggshill Green, Weston Green, Esher, Walton on Thames, Thames Towpath to Weybridge, (where the BP man almost made a break for freedom), Brooklands community Park, Byfleet, Wey Navigation Canal Towpath to Pyrford Lock for lunch at ‘the Anchor’, then Wisley, Ockham, Martyr’s Green, Hatchford, Downside, Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham, Fairmile, Stokesheath, Claygate to Long Ditton for Tea & BP at ‘Squires Garden Centre’, then Seething Wells, Portsmouth Rd track to Kingston. Total 33 Miles, 1 new face. Thanks to Steve J for back marking, many others for marking corners & JD for the Bread Pudding, and special thanks to Jon for leading a novel route to a familiar destination.
