As the local Kingston group of the London Cycling Campaign, we campaign for better cycling facilities and safer, healthier streets for everyone across the borough, speaking up for children as well as adults.
From liaising with Kingston Council and feeding into local developments to organising regular bike rides for all experience levels and ages, our goal is to make cycle campaigning positive, and ensure bike travel is a fun, safe and accessible way to explore our borough – and beyond.
How we can help you ride more:
How we promote cycling across Kingston:
- FREE RIDES: We organise a varied programme of leisurely bike rides, from family-friendly routes to more challenging cycling adventures. We also leading a ride to and from the annual summer RideLondon FreeCycle event in central London as well as London Cycling Campaign’s annual Women’s Freedom Ride. Read about where we’ve explored on recent bike rides here and register to join our next friendly rides here.
- CONSTRUCTIVE CAMPAIGNS: We liaise with the Kingston Council and TfL, campaigning to improve the provision of local cycling facilities, lanes, paths and routes, including the Mini Holland schemes.
- CYCLING SUPPORT & SIGNPOSTING: We provide local cycling information for members, including bike security advice, family-friendly ride routes, downloadable ‘Get Cycling’ maps and directions for traffic-free and quiet rides, plus personal cycle route guides – request yours here. We also support London Cycling Campaign’s Cycle Buddies scheme; a free service which connects new and experienced cyclists in the same area to help build confidence and be introduced to new routes.
