Sunday 9th March. A bright Sunny day, after 2 late cancellations, 28 Cyclists (a post Covid record), had to battle there way through the ‘Fun runners’, split into 2 groups, leave via Surbiton, Long Ditton, Hinchley wood, Esher- Group 2 joined by 1 more (29)-, Fairmile, Cobham, Hatchford,- with increasing numbers of Car traffic, trying to find alternative routes due to the M25 closure-, Ockham, to Ripley for lunch at the Jovial Sailor (Barons Pubs)- joined by 1 more (30)-, Send Marsh (Photo group 1), Newark, Pyrford, (Photo Group 2), a short stretch of Wey navigation path, Byfleet (very congested), Brooklands Park- having to detour around the Fun fair-, Weybridge, Walton, Molesey to Molesey Cricket Club for Tea & refreshments at Miss Polly’s, Thames Ditton, Portsmouth Rd to finish back in Kingston.
