Sunday 6th April, a glorious sunny day, with a slightly chilly headwind/ breeze, after 1 cancellation & 1 late booking, 19 Cyclists split into 2 groups, leave via Fairfield, Norbiton, New Malden, Raynes park, Merton park, Morden hall Park, Colliers wood, Tooting- group 1 joined by 1 more-, Streatham Vale, Norbury, Thornton heath, Heavers Meadow, Woodside, Ashburton Fields- with a long stretch of Path strewn with broken glass (was it a deliberate ploy to cause flat tyres?)- (photo group 2), Elmers end, Park Langley (Photo group 1), to West Wickham, for lunch at the Raiilway (Ember Inns),- after a small adjustment to 1 saddle-, Shirley, Addiscombe, Lloyd Park, South Croydon, Waddon, Beddington, Beddington Park, to Carshalton for Tea & refreshments at Sassis in the Grove, Benhill, Pyl Brook path, North Cheam, Motspur park, New Malden, Berrylands- to visit ‘Derek’s Bridge’ (an old friend, who used to Cycle regularly with us), Surbiton, to finish back in Kingston. Total 38 Miles, special thanks to Bai for leading group 2, thanks to Celia & Chris F for back marking each group.
