A pleasant balmy evening saw 16 Cyclists in 1 group leave via Skerne Rd, Latchmere, Ham gate Richmond Park to Petersham gate, Richmond Bridge, Ducks walk, Isleworth, Cole park, Railway path, to Twickenham for refreshment at the ‘Sussex Arms’, Fulwell, Bushy Park, -with some ‘residents on a Stag do’ (sorry Rob, I had to nick that one)-, Hampton Wick, Kingston Bridge to finish. Total 11 Miles, 1 new face, thanks to John E for back marking.

Evening ride to Ewell

Wednesday 20th July. With increasing clouds, would we stay dry? After 3 cancellations, but 1 unexpected visitor, 9 Cyclists left via Lower Marsh, Berrylands, New Malden, Malden Manor, Worcester park, Auriol Park, Nonsuch Park, Ewell village to the Wheatsheaf (a reliable friendly local) for refreshments- with 1 rather heavy shower in the interval-, West Ewell, Tolworth, Surbiton, to finish back in Kingston. Evening ride to Richmond Hill

Wednesday 22nd June. A lovely Sunny evening, after 2 late bookings & 1 extra unbooked guest, saw 12 Cyclists leave via Kingston Bridge, Bushy Park, Fulwell, Twickenham, Kneller Gardens, Twickenham Junction rough,, Cole Park, St Margarets -with a ‘dropped Tissue’ almost losing the tail end-, Richmond Bridge, to Richmond Hill for refreshments at ‘the Roebuck’ (somewhat ‘pedestrian service’), with the Sunset playing it’s part, Richmond Park, to Kingston Gate, to finish back in the Market place. Evening ride to Molesey

Wednesday 18th May. A pleasant Evening, with our regular Leader away, ‘enjoying himself’ in Ireland, 9 Cyclists, left via Lower Marsh, Berrylands, Surbiton, Long Ditton, Hinchley wood, Littleworth Common, Esher, a brief visit to the River Mole towpath, to Molesey for refreshments at the delightful Bell, East Molesey, Thames Ditton, Portsmouth Rd to finish back in Kingston. Total 13 Miles, 1 new face. Special thanks to Jon White for leading the ride, thanks to Ralph for back marking.

Evening ride to Wimbledon

Wednesday 6th September. A warm Sultry evening saw 10 Cyclists, in 1 group leave via Lower Marsh, Berrylands, New Malden, Motspur park- with an inordinantly long wait at the Level crossing-, Cannon Hill, South Wimbledon to Wimbledon for refreshments at the Wibbas Down Inn (Wetherspoons), with Rain & Thunder forecast 1 member made an early departure, 2 others also headed in other directions, the main group, with steady rain soon turning to light Drizzle, continued via Wimbledon Chase, Raynes park, New Malden, Norbiton to finish back in Kingston. Total 14 Miles, thanks to Ellie for back marking.

Evening ride to Teddington

Wednesday 11th August. A Bright Evening, after 1 cancellation saw a Bakers Dozen (13) Cyclists in 1 group leave via the new Station Bridge, London Rd Track, Norbiton, Kingston gate Richmond Park, the Tamsin Trail, Petersham gate, Ham House, Thames towpath, Teddington Footbridge, Teddington to the very hospitable Lion for refreshments, with a brand new feature- Hampton Wick, Kingston Bridge to finish back at the start. Total 10 Miles, 4, yes Four new faces, thanks to John E for back marking, thanks to Jon W for marking corners.

A warm bright Evening saw 8 Cyclists, in 1 group leave via Lower Marsh, Berrylands, New Malden, Old Malden, Auriol Park- with loose Dogs, & ‘trainee Cyclists’ almost bringing the leader to his knees-, Stoneleigh, Nonsuch Park, East Ewell to Ewell village for refreshments at the very welcoming ‘Wheatsheaf’, West Ewell, a short bit of Hogsmill Path, Tolworth, Surbiton, to finish back in Kingston. A mostly Sunny Evening, with 2 late cancellations, saw 10 Cyclists in 1 group leave via Kingston Bridge, Bushy Park, Fulwell, Twickenham, St Margerets, Richmond Bridge, to Richmond Hill for refreshments at ‘the Roebuck’, also meeting up with the ‘unofficial Merton group’, the big question, would we get to enjoy a Sunset ? not quite, but pretty good all the same, (Clouds appearing just after the Photo)

Evening ride to New Malden

Wednesday 19th May after a few Showers, a largely Bright evening saw 8 Cyclists, with 2 late cancellations, leave via Cranes park, Tolworth -including a short stretch of the new Cycle Path-, Old Malden, Motspur park, Raynes park, to New Malden for Refreshments at Woodies,- with a visit from a ‘Special guest’,- then Norbiton, Kingston & the new Bridge next to Kingston Station, to finish back at the Market place. Total 12 Miles, 1 face returning after a very long interval, thanks to Mike for Back marking.

Evening ride to Molesey

Thursday 29th April. Well there’s a thing, KCC having a Midweek evening ride on a Thursday, but as Pubs are still adjusting their opening & closing times, it seemed the best idea this month. A Bright, if slightly chilly evening saw 16 Cyclists gather, after 2 late cancellations, with 1 extra from the wait list, split into 3 groups, at 5 Min intervals, go via Kingston Bridge, Bushy Park, Lion gate, Hampton Court Bridge, to East Molesey for refreshments at the always reliable Bell, with 1 special guest already waiting, then, Thames Ditton, Long Ditton, Surbiton, to Kingston. Total 8 Miles, 2 new Faces, special thanks to Jon & Ralph for group leadership, thanks to John E, Andrea & Steve F for back marking each group.
