Day 1. A cloudy but otherwise dry day saw 4 intrepid Cyclists gather at Tolworth, for the journey via the Hogsmill path, West Ewell, Epsom, Langley vale, Headley, Pebblecombe, Betchworth, then Reigate garden centre for Tea, then Earlswood common, Redhill Airfield, Smallfield, Crawley down to Turners hill for lunch at ‘the Crown’. Continuing via Ardingly, Lindfield, Scaynes hill, Wivelsfield, green to Plumpton for more refreshments at ‘the Plough’, then Chiltington, Offham, Kingston, (near Lewis), Rodmell to Southease for our stay at the YHA, before an Evening walk back to Rodmell for Dinner at the ‘Abergavenny Arms’. Total 54 Miles.

2 part Bread pudding ride to New Malden and Marble Hill
Sunday 21st June. Part 1, A mostly bright day saw 19 Cyclists leave via Portsmouth Rd, Long Ditton, Hinchley wood, Claygate, Malden rushett, Horton park, Long grove park, West Ewell, Hogsmill path, Tolworth, Malden manor to New Malden for lunch at ‘Woodies’, then via Berrylands and lower marsh to Kingston. Sub total 16 Miles, 3 new faces. Part 2, farewell to 9, hello to 3 fresh faces so 13 Cyclists left via Canbury Gardens, towpath to Ham, Aerospace estate, Ham House, Towpath to Richmond, O’Higgins Square, Richmond bridge, towpath to Marble hill house for Tea & BP, then St. Margerets, Twickenham, Kneller Gardens, Crane river path, Fulwell, Hampton, Bushy park, where a wayward Child Cyclist, (not with us), almost caused a calamitous incident with 2 of our group suffering some minor bruises, Hampton wick, Kingston Bridge. Sub total 14 Miles, Total 30 Miles.
Evening ride to Richmond
A mostly bright, Sunny evening saw 13 Cyclists leave via Lower marsh, Berrylands, New Malden, Coombe, Ladderstile gate of Richmond park, Pen ponds, Richmond gate to Richmond hill for refreshments at the ‘Roebuck’, before returning to Richmond park, to Kingston gate & Kingston. Total 12 Miles, 2 new faces.
Bread pudding ride to Greenford
Sunday 7th June. A bright and sunny day saw 28 Cyclists leave via Skerne Rd, Kingston gate of Richmond park to Sheen, Mortlake, Chiswick bridge, Chiswick, (where a piece of miscommunication led to a small detachment taking a different approach via Kew, Brentford, South Ealing, West Ealing, Perivale, (thanks Nick for rescuing the breakaway)) with the main party continuing Acton, Park Royal, then the Grand union canal towpath, across the Aqueduct, to Greenford for lunch at ‘the Black horse’. Afterwards, more Towpath to Southall, Norwood green to Osterley park for Tea & BP, then Osterley, Hounslow, Whitton, Twickenham, Fulwell, Bushy park, to Hampton wick & Kingston bridge. Total 30 Miles, 5 new faces.

Bread Pudding Ride to Englefield Green
Sunday 24th May. A mostly bright day, with a very light sprinkling of drizzle as we approached the finish, saw 29 Cyclists leave after a rethink for a lunch venue for such a crowd via Kingston bridge, Bushy park, Hampton, Lower Feltham, Ashford, Staines, Egham, (with a small delay for a jammed chain) to Englefield green for lunch at ‘the Barley mow’. Afterwards Bishopsgate of Windsor Great Park, Totem pole & Virginia water lake, Virginia water, St. Ann’s hill, Chertsey, Chertsey bridge, Shepperton to Walton bridge for Tea & BP at Gino’s, then Walton on Thames, Hersham, Esher, Weston green, Giggs hill green and Portsmouth Rd to Kingston. Total 36 Miles, 7 new faces, special mention for Mike the Unicyclist, who was a big talking point & great company.

Evening Ride to Claygate
Wednesday 20th May.
A bright evening with a chilly breeze, saw 4 cyclists leave via Kingston bridge, tow-path including a midgefest to Hampton court, East Molesey, Esher, Littleworth Common to Claygate, for refreshments at ‘the Griffin’, then Red lane, Woodstock Lane subway, Long Ditton, Surbiton and Kingston. Total 13 Miles.
Bread Pudding Challenge Ride to Leigh
Sunday 10th May
A mostly cloudy but bright day saw 17 Cyclists leave via Cranes park, King Charles bridge, Tolworth Greenway, West Ewell, Epsom, Epsom Common, Langley Vale, Headley, Pebblecombe, Betchworth to Leigh for lunch at ‘the Plough’. Then Flanchford, Reigate, where a small splinter group went astray, regrouping in Redhill, Gatton park and the ‘standing stones’, Chipstead, Banstead, Belmont to Nonsuch park for Tea & BP, then Worcester park, New Malden, Berrylands to Kingston. Total 40 Miles, 2 new faces.

Evening Ride to Hampton
Wednesday 29th April
A dry but chilly evening saw 7 Cyclists on the 1st ride of the year go via Kings Rd, Kingston gate of Richmond park to Ham gate, Ham, Teddington, Fulwell, to Hampton for refreshment’s at the ‘Roebuck’, then a lovely moonlit, Bushy park to Hampton Wick and Kingston Bridge. Total 10 Miles, 1 new face.

Bread Pudding ride to Harlesden
Sunday 26th April
A chilly overcast, but dry day saw 17 Cyclists leave via Skerne Rd, tow-path to Ham, Aerospace estate, Ham, Ham gate of Richmond park to Richmond gate, Kew Rd, Kew bridge, Brentford, where a minor saddle slippage was rectified, South Ealing, West Ealing, Pitshanger park, Perivale where Derek suffered a major wheel problem, caused him to abandon the ride, but the remainder found the Grand union canal tow-path to Harlesden for lunch at ‘the Grand Junction Arms’. Afterwards, more tow-path to Ladbroke Grove, North Kensington, under the Westway, (thanks to Nick for that link), Shepherds bush, Brook Green, Barons Court, Fulham to Bishops park for Tea & BP, then Putney Bridge, Putney, Barnes common, Roehampton gate of Richmond park, to Kingston gate, to Market place. Total 32 Miles, 6 new faces.
Bread Pudding ride to Horsell Common
Sunday 12th April – A dry day with a very strong South-Westerly wind, saw 20 Cyclists heading straight into the wind via Portsmouth Rd, Giggs hill green, Weston green, Esher, Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Brooklands country park, Byfleet, Wey navigation towpath, Basingstoke canal towpath, Sheerwater to Horsell Common for lunch at a very welcoming ‘Plough’. Afterwards, Horsell common, Anthony’s, Ottershaw, Addlestone, Weybridge, Thames towpath to Walton bridge for Tea & BP at ‘Gino’s’, with a seemingly redundant new building, then more Towpath to Hampton Court, Thames Ditton & Portsmouth Rd to Kingston. Total 35 Miles, 2 new faces.
